Coming February 2027
Where history meets the needle.
A lyrical portrait of freedom traced through fabric, fashion, and the making of a people.

A Preview of the Novel
The Seam of Freedom is a sweeping historical novel of family, survival, faith, fashion, and the unfinished work of freedom.
Set in the tense years after the Civil War, the story begins in the soil and sorrow of Mississippi, where freedom has been declared but not yet fully delivered. The law may have changed, but the hearts of men, the systems of power, and the dangers surrounding newly freed Black families remain painfully familiar.
In this world, freedom is not a single moment. It is a daily decision. A journey. A risk. A fight to become whole.
At the Center
At the center of the story is Elijah — a man shaped by bondage, faith, memory, and vision. He carries the weight of what his family has endured, but he also carries something more powerful: the belief that their story does not end in the fields of Mississippi.
Elijah is not simply running from the past. He is moving toward a future he can barely name, but deeply believes must exist.
